Born in Huntington, New York, Stan Wroblewski has been involved in martial arts for the vast majority of his life. Stan Wroblewski began his martial arts training in Matsubyashi Shorin Ryu. In 1988 he began training at UCF Butokukan under head instructor Kerwin Wright. He subsequently received his 1st Dan in Butokukan Karate by Mr. Wright in 1992 while pursuing a degree in engineering. As an instructor, he has played an integral role in the training of more than a half dozen students that were promoted to the rank of black belt. Mr. Wroblewski currently works at Siemens Westinghouse and continues to be a role model for his students, promoting discipline in life while leading a balanced lifestyle.











Sensei Jason Baran - Head instructor of Orlando Sand Drift Aikido @ SCC, Sandan

Baran Sensei started martial arts in 1979 with the art of Kenpo Karate under Ron Malone in the Gymnasium Harrison Middle School in Roselle NJ. Ever since that time as a child Baran Sensei has had a love of the martial arts. Now as an adult and instructor Baran Sensei has had the opportunity and the honor of studying with some of the leading martial arts instructors in the United States and the world. 26 years since his first lesson Baran Sensei has studied and trained in many types of martial arts including, Kenpo Karate, Muso Shin Den Ryu Iaido, and several other styles of Japanese Swordsmanship, Gung Fu, Judo and Aikido. Aikido is Baran Sensei's main martial art serving as an Uchi Deshi (live in student) in a traditional Aikido Dojo. Baran Sensei also spent two years living and training in many forms and fighting concepts with Grand Master Denis R. Decker of the Chi Ling Pai Gung Fu.







Gary Cox - Instructor

Mr. Cox earned his Black Belt in 1999 after choosing to be an upper rank for many years. He received boxing training by his father at a young age as well as serving in the US Marine Corp. Both of these qualities are evident in his rough and tumble training style. Mr. Cox has lived and raised a family in the Orlando area.





















Rick Vollaro - Instructor

Mr. Vollaro began training in January 1990 and received his Black Belt in the fall of 1994. He earned his degree in education as well as his black belt during his time at UCF. He now lives in DeBary teaching at a public school with his wife and two sons. Mr. Vollaro makes the commute to the University once a week simply to teach and train with the students, who greatly appreciate his sacrifices.

















Rusty Fadgen - Instructor

Prior to joining the Butokukan Club, Rusty had trained in Mudokai of Plantation, FL. Rusty joined the Butokukan Club in the Fall semester of 2000 while pursuing a computer engineering degree with full time employment. During this period, Rusty began his Aikido training from the late Dr. Hans Walker of Sand Drift Aikikai. Rusty received his Shodan in December of 2005. Rusty continues to train, teach and share the knowledge he has gained though his martial arts endeavors. Rusty truly has a passion for the martial arts. Rusty is an ucf alumnus and works full time as a Software Engineer and part time as a Realtor.
